Relief fragments with offering scene
Egyptian
Second millennium BCE?
Limestone with painted plaster
UR 6003, 6004
These fragments probably come from a funerary stele decorated with an offering scene. A priest (or eldest son of the deceased, acting as a priest) stands before a table laden with funerary offerings: a head of cattle, a joint of meat, a bouquet of lotus flowers, a round loaf of bread, and several vessels, including a wine jar (for a similar offering scene, see here.)
