This trefoil-mouthed pitcher with tall handle was used to pour wine. It was decorated with horizontal bands of brown slip, much of which has been worn away. A fingerprint pattern in the slip near the mouth makes it clear that the mouth was ‘pinched’ to its trefoil shape after the decoration was applied.
