Internships

Real-world experiences and personal connections that come from internships, service projects, and travel can make all the difference in bringing an ancient subject to life. You will be encouraged to take what you learn in the classroom outside, into museums, the City of Richmond, or new and foreign places.

Career Services can help you secure internships that will suit your academic interests.

Civic Fellowships

Students interning with a non-profit or government organization for the summer are eligible to apply for faculty-mentored Civic Fellowships through the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement. Classics Civic Fellows have held internships with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, and the Science Museum of Virginia.

UR Summer Fellowships

Every continuing, full-time, degree-seeking University of Richmond undergraduate student in good standing in the School of Arts & Sciences, Robins School of Business, or Jepson School of Leadership is eligible for funding of up to $5,000 for one approved summer research or internship experience before they graduate. Through eight different programs, UR Summer Fellowships offer students the opportunity to pursue the research or internship experience that best complements their academic pursuits — in any field of endeavor, and in any part of the world.
